2 Charged, Released After
Helping Fugitive |
(Lexington) - Two people that authorities
say help prison escapee John Griffin were released from the
Lexington County Detention Center on personal recognizance
today.
Officials say 20-year-old Sabrina Bailey and
17-year-old Joe Blackmon of Victor Road in Lexington were charged
with harboring a fugitive.
Bailey and Blackmon were arrested
early Saturday morning at a mobile home in the county.
Sunday
morning, a Lexington County judge gave them a $25,000 bond and they
were released.
Authorities say the two helped 20-year-old
John Griffin hide from the police after he escaped from Ridgeland
Correctional Institution in Jasper County more than a week
ago.
SLED and Lexington County deputies found Griffin
Saturday morning and he is currently being held at Broad River
Correctional Institution. |
