<WFUD_Request>Governor Haley: I am a South Carolina veteran. I have a pending disability claim with Veterans Affairs because of residual problems from a botched surgery that I had at the VA Hospital in Charleston. It has been almost seven years. One of your field representatives in the Governor's Office on Veterans Affairs helped me file my claim. I filed my claim in 2013. I had a hearing with a Decision Review Officer on June 13, 2016. We were told it would be forty five days before we would hear anything. It has been almost seven months. My representative with the American Legion never calls me with any updates. I hesitate to say anything derogatory about anybody that has anything to do with my situation, but I am getting very disturbed with the constant delays.  They tell me that they have requested a medical opinion about my case and I requested that they get me an appointment with the person that is to render that opinion and they won't do that. I guess they are afraid that person will rule in my favor or be influenced by my condition. Is there anything that you can do to help me? I would appreciate it very much.
