Batesburg-Leesville FFA Forestry Team Takes Top State Honors
BATESBURG-LEESVILLE---The Batesburg-Leesville High School Future Farmers of America (FFA) Forestry Team took first place honors in the recent State FFA-sponsored Forestry Competition, according to John W. Parris, State Director of Public Affairs with the SC FFA.
Team members Roman Fox, Brandon Long, Rowdy Harris and Joel Wash, along with Joel Bickley, Agricultural Education Teacher and FFA Advisor, won expense paid trips to the National FFA Convention to compete in the National FFA Forestry Finals. The National Convention is scheduled in Louisville, Kentucky, later this year.
Rowdy Harris was the High Individual Scorer in the State Competition. Brandon Long was the Second High Individual Scorer and Roman Fox was the Third High Individual Scorer.
