He was16 and due to graduate high school from St. James High in Murrells Inlet this year. To make my extremely long and frustrating story short, I was contacted by his high school principal Vann Pennell 2 days before graduation this year where he kindly (note of sarcasm) offered my family of 4, 2 graduation tickets and was told that I would be unable to receive an honorary high school diploma for Gavin because it required too many signatures. Fast forward one week and on social media I see a picture of the honorary diploma (signed by all necessary people) given to the teenager who ran the red light and killed Gavin, which also killed him. I am taken back as to why the principal of St. James didn't even try to get Gavin a diploma, he was a student of Horry County Schools since kindergarten. I honestly feel Gavin deserves his diploma just as munch, if not more than Riley (the boy who ran the red light) could someone please point me into the right direction of obtaining a diploma for my son. Thank you. Valarie 76.182.168.235
