After the recent terror attacks in Paris and Lebanon, ISIS is only continuing to become a greater threat to US safety. As a mom of three boys, this is not the world I want them to grow up in. The President continues to sit idly by and do nothing. My sister is supposed to go on a school trip to Italy this December, and our family is faced with the issue of the trip no longer being safe. People continue to say "We are safe" and "It's not happening here". But It's a matter of when. I'm sure the hundreds of people killed and injured Friday night thought they were just going to enjoy a nice evening. I know our federal government keeps a very close monitor on possible threats, but the attacks only involve 1-2 members at a time.. enough to do major damage, especially in those "gun free zones". There was an ISIS kill list with Daniel Island, South Carolina mentioned. Our borders should be closed and the refugees should be turned away from South Carolina. If the president will not do his part to protect our country then it must become an issue of the states. Several counties in South Carolina have denied access to refugees and the state as a whole should follow. Also in my opinion, I do not believe there need to be "gun free zones" without a gun yielding officer on guard. You are giving the terrorists access to cause a major tragedy because they know they cannot be stopped. The tragedy in Paris could have had far less casualties if there had been civilians that were armed. A man cannot stand against a machine gun. Our schools, places of work, restaurants, etc are all a target. We must protect what is ours and that means stopping the refugees.
