The Sheriff has taken the oath of office and has known the law for years, and as a citizen of this county I have lost confidence in this mans administration and his leadership! Brian Adams ran against Sheriff DeWitt and nearly defeated him in the Republican Primary in June of this year, I feel that Mr. Adams will bring integrity back to the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office and request that you consider appointing him as interim Sheriff during the time the legal process is going on.
