Health Agencies Meet With Governor
(Columbia) - The top directors of South Carolina's five health agencies met with Governor Mark Sanford Friday to discuss budget issues.

The agencies combined make up about one-third of South Carolina's $15 billion budget, including federal funding.

Much of the talk centered on how to make South Carolina healthier.

Sanford says the agencies need to improve awareness, prevention and offer better services.

Sanford will continue budget hearings on Monday.
