Columbia, SC (AP) - The state Supreme Court will consider next month whether Governor Mark Sanford is ineligible to serve because he is an Air Force Reserves officer

Edward Sloan Junior of Greenville says the state Constitution prohibits Sanford from holding both positions at the same time

Sloan's lawyer, James Carpenter, says a ruling in his favor could have "far-reaching" implications

Carpenter says the justices could invalidate last year's gubernatorial election and any laws Sanford signed

The justices will hear arguments December Third
