Hi Jim,

Attached is the letter that Ms. Dunn sent in with her application to COC for her children. Also attached is the region’s summary of what they did to assess eligibility for COC services. The CAFAS (Child and Adolescent Functional Assessment Scale) is the assessment we use as a guide for determining eligibility, although other factors are considered as well. A CAFAS score of 140 is typically the cut off in Region B to ensure that COC is serving youth with the most severe emotional and behavioral health problems. As you can see, both of her children scored well below 140 on the CAFAS. If you need us to do anything further with these youth, please let me know. Thanks, Trina
