Grant proposal meeting for Lynches Scenic River Trail

Lynches River

The goal of the Scenic Rivers program is the conservation of SC's river heritage through the proper management of the natural and cultural character of the state's river corridors. The approach to river corridor protection is through a voluntary cooperative community-based process, which allows landowners, community interests, and the S.C. Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to work together toward common river-conservation goals.  The section of the Lynches River, running from Highway 15 in Lee County to Highway 52 in Florence County, has been designated a State Scenic River.  A Lynches Scenic River Management Plan has been adopted to help conserve this portion of the river.
