With Deepest Condolences for your State and to the families who have lost their loved ones in the Charleston massacre.  That said, I'm from NC and consider myself Southern thru and thru, although I live in New England.  It's time the flag is relegated to the Museums of Charleston and all of SC.  I agree it's a part of history, but we don't have to fly history.  It's just that...history.  Teach it, view it in museums, but don't fly it in the face of the very people who were suppressed under it.  It's a state of many cultures and diversities, and most who view this flag 'know' the real meaning of it.  I was planning a vacation and thinking of coming to Charleston....but until I don't have to look at Confederate flags flying, I will not be vacationing to Charleston, nor for that matter anywhere in SC.  It's a small thing, but maybe if there are enough people like me who believe in total equality, it will have an impact on Charleston and the state of SC.  I plan to ask people on my FB pages to boycott South Carolina tourism and to share with their friends.  It's time for SC to come into the 21st century.  To many this flag is a flag of superiority in many ways and race being one of them.  I saw you on TV, you are apparently a strong leader and I'm hoping you will lead the way on this endeavor.
