(Columbia-AP) Jan. 25, 2004 - Democratic presidential hopeful Al Sharpton preached at Baptist churches across South Carolina Sunday.
Sharpton told the congregation at Rehoboth Baptist Church in Columbia on Sunday that their message would make it all the way to the Democratic convention because he would not drop out of the race. He told them not to waste their vote on someone who might pull out of the race.
Keith Ray decided to vote for Sharpton after hearing him at the service. He said he had previously planned to vote for Wesley Clark, then John Edwards. But Ray says he needs someone to voice his concerns regardless of the outcome.
