House subcommittee to hear tax proposal

March 28, 2005

A House of Representatives subcommittee will discuss Gov. Mark Sanford’s tuition tax credit proposal Wednesday.

A gathering of the economic development subcommittee of the House Ways and Means Committee will begin at 3 p.m. It will take place in room 521 of the Blatt building, 1105 Pendleton St., Columbia.Subcommittee members will not hear any public testimony Wednesday. A public hearing will be scheduled for a later date, according to Ways and Means staff members.

Lawmakers have not filed tuition tax credit legislation yet in the Senate.
