Dear Governor Haley,
I am writing to urge you to move
forward on developing a state plan to
comply with the Environmental
Protection Agency's (EPA) Clean Power
Plan.
Please understand
that the health and welfare of our SC citizens is the
most important
purpose of government. We rely on tourism as one of our
state's largest
income producers. One thing, for sure, that we do not
want to do is
jeopardize that business.
While the courts do their due diligence
by reviewing the Clean Power
Plan, I strongly encourage you to ensure
our state powers ahead on
developing plans to act on climate change by
limiting heat-trapping
emissions and transitioning to renewable
energy.
