I am writing you because I don't know how the Policies are amended in this regard. I would like to Suggest that when there is a Police shooting and the Officer has to be put on Administrative Leave, it should be without Pay!!! I believe that if the Officer knew ahead of time that his response could result in a cut in his income; that Officer would think before using his fire arm. This way the burden is on the Officer and not the Department or the Government. Most Job do not pay you when the have to suspend you. Right now the way the Policy is across the board, we are actually give the Officer a motive to shoot first and ask questions later. We are offering the Officer a paid vacation while the Department tries to clean up the mess that would not be had the Officer taken a minute to think first. Because in hindsight the Officers always come to the conclusion that the could have handled it differently. Thank you so much for you time. Respectfully, Sadiah Rahim
