Haley, I hope you are well. I'm writing to make a formal request for the Governor's husband, National Guardsman, Michael Haley, to be the keynote speaker at our facility's "Operation: Pamper of Vets Day." This event, which honors our vets who so bravely fought for the freedoms we enjoy today, will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The program will begin with the presentation of our flag, an American Legion Post #6's Legion Riders motorcycle parade, a drum line parade, and the singing of the National Anthem. To top the day off, we will have free hair cuts, manicures, massages and facials, as well as great food and healthy (fruit infused) drinks, entertainment, photography and media. This professes to be a banner day for SC's honor-worthy veterans and we'd love it if our First Gentleman could come say a few brief words to motivate our resident-veterans and those from the community who attend. Please contact me at 803.542.2542 or email me back at dana_tucker2@lcca.com to let me know ASAP if this is something he'd consider it. I know today is - as has been this weekend - a tough day in SC, but we can and shall persevere like we always do. Thank you very much! Dana F. Tucker, MBA
