The Government of South Carolina can no longer ignore the issue. The time has come to fund road repairs now! While I appreciate the reluctance to raise taxes, there comes a point in time that one must re-evaluate their position and do what may appear to be "political suicide". We have lots of opportunities: 1) Raise gasoline tax 2) License trailers, mopeds, golf cars (used on public roads) 4) Raise the $300 cap on sales tax on cars, boats, etc. As the leader of Government in our state, you, Governor Nikki Haley, have the obligation and responsibility to address needs of our citizens, and there is no more burning issue than to fix our roads and infrastructure.
