When I showed my DD214 and requested a veteran's designation on my DL I was told it would cost an additional $1.00. I think that is a "nickel & dime" insult to all of us who have served, particularly in this time of heightened awareness of veteran's contributions and hardships. Every politician makes it a point to "thank" every veteran "for their service" and then SC pols pass a stupid, discourteous measure such as this. I have contacted my state rep (he would vote against this "if it crossed his desk" and is going to see if there is interest in repealing it in the upcoming 2016 Legislature session) and my senator (she did not even acknowledge the message I left). The Charleston P & C ran a story about this in the Sunday (Dec 27) paper on page two! Any support your office could provide in this matter would be appreciated. This is my second email to you on this matter...the first received no response, so I thought I would retransmit to ensure its receipt.
