Hello. I understand the governor's office is very busy so I hope this email reaches you well.

I am contacting because I truly love the mission that the governor is trying to accomplish here in South Carolina and I would sincerely like to contribute to that mission. 

My name is Alex Dodenhoff. I am a current junior at Porter-Gaud School in Charleston. I have a huge interest in how our country is run and who is running it. Nikki Haley, being a governor, has more experience in this field than most, certainly. With that, I believe I can contribute to her mission of making South Carolina better for all by extending my help in Columbia. 

When my summer comes around in June, I would be overjoyed to intern in Nikki Haley's office, perhaps for a week or two, and simply extend as much help as I can over the time period, whether that be filing papers, making calls, or sending emails, I would merely like to help. 

If this seems to be a plausible opportunity that her office would like to offer, please let me know whenever you get the chance.
