Recently Mrs. Haley made the comment that South Carolina was seeing the worst rainfall it had seen in 1000 years or 1000 year event. Mrs. Haley from my perspective has been as rock solid governor, the events surrounding the confederate flag not withstanding. But this statement made me cringe. It sounds like the craziness we hear from global warming liberals on a daily basis. I understand the storm was bad, however there is no possible way to know if indeed there was a storm this bad in what is now South Carolina 500 years ago let alone 1000 years ago. It may seem like nit picking, but as conservatives we have to keep the dialog on a higher plane than the libs are taking it. I bring this up because we hear crazy things like this constantly. This is the hottest year ever, this is the hottest month ever, I even heard reported once a certain day was the hottest day since the 1680's. Not true, not true, and not true. Keep up the good work just realize statements like the storm comment just adds wood to the dems global warming fire. regards richard r townsend
