A state Department of Motor Vehicles employee was arrested and charged with producing fake vehicle titles, the Richland County Sheriff’s Department announced Tuesday.

Scott Griffin, 20, of 15 Rose Pine Drive, was charged with one count of violating the State Ethics Act, the department said in a news release.

Griffin is in the Richland County jail awaiting a bond hearing.
