Pay as you go! I like it. I have spoken about it for years. Gas taxes are the best way to fix the roads.
I have spoken strongly about consumption taxes since I was a young accounting student in 1992 and later, after graduating.....a financial analyst, then a cost analyst. 
I write this e-mail in the memory of Royal Marshal, who was a friend of Neil Boortz and Herman Cain, both of whom probably knew Russ Cassell. These men all stood and stand for what is right!!!! 
If we can establish a road tax(maybe not quite so extreme), then we can pass a Federal Consumption tax and end the Payroll Tax. 
Like Unions, payroll taxes had a purpose---and a good purpose--at one time. But NO MORE! 
A consumption tax would completely grow America back to what it once was.....Just think, those hated crack dealers on the street----they would have to pay thier taxes when they buy their cigarettes, cars, food, etcc....I promise you, we could still find them and lock them up....but they wouldn't be breaking the law for TAX EVASION any more!
