On behalf of the seven Zonta Clubs of South Carolina we are interested in the newly appointed Domestic Violence Task Force. Zonta is a global organization of professionals who work to advance the status of woman locally and worldwide.  Our Clubs are located in Anderson, Bluffton, Beaufort, Charleston, Columbia, Hilton Head Island and Myrtle Beach.  We understand the urgent need for legislative reform to improve the state's laws on domestic violence. We also strongly believe a plan is needed to educate and alter the pattern of offenders to reduce the violence in South Carolina. Zonta Clubs throughout South Carolina stand united to change the status of our state from number one for women killed by men.  

We are interested in serving on the Task Force and are asking for guidance in how to proceed.  I look forward to hearing from you.  Thank you for your consideration.
