SC INTERAGENCY FOOD SAFETY COUNCIL
FLORENCE---The first quarterly meeting of the SC Interagency Food Safety Council (SCIFSC) will be held March 5, 2002, in conjunction with a Food Irradiation Training Symposium sponsored jointly by the Food Safety Council, Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service, SC Meat & Poultry Inspection Service, SC Department of Agriculture, SC Beef Board, Minnesota Beef Board, and the Huisgen Meat Company. The meeting and symposium will be held at the Clemson University Pee Dee Research and Education Center, Pocket Road, Florence, SC.
The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. and adjourn at 2 p.m. The instructional training program will provide information on food irradiation for killing pathogens especially in meat and poultry products. The dutch treat box lunch will be $6 per person.
