I would like to thank you, Gov. Haley, for doing such a great job for this state. I don't think that I have ever been so proud to be a South Carolinian. You have handled the issues in this state remarkably, but I need to ask for some help. I am a SC farmer. This year, we farmers have experienced a 1000-year flood that caused tremendous damage to our crops. Although we do carry crop insurance, it does not even come close to helping us pay our bills. We need government intervention and assistance in order to be able to go on serving this great state of ours. I am asking if you could possibly look out for the farmers of S.C. We are a proud, hard working group that really needs your help. On the behalf of South Carolina's farmers, I am asking you to please appeal to the federal government for financial assistance and relief in our year of disaster. Without such support, I fear that many of us will be left in ruins; as a consequence, our state's economic landscape will be impacted in a detrimental way.
