I would like to meet with you and discuss my medical condition. I have been diagnosed with iih "idiopathic intracranial hypertension" /Pseudotumor Cerebri. I am running out of options for treatment of the rare disease before I have to get brain surgery. What I would like is to try the CBD oil. CBD oil legislation passed South Carolina's House (92-5) and Senate (unanimous), and became law on May 28 when Gov. Nikki Haley did not veto the bill, making South Carolina the eighth state to legalize CBD oil. The bill requires a clinical trial to be established at the University of South Carolina. I would love to be apart of this trial just to see if it will work. I am losing my sight already and the longer I go without a cure for iih or it goes in to remission I will continue to have the horrible headaches, burly vision and tinnitus until my world goes dark. All I am asking is a chance to try the CBD oil for a couple of months to see if it helps me before I give in to the surgery that may put me out of work and on disability . I work for Rexnord Industrial Service in Taylors formally known as The Cline Company. I have been with the company for over 25 years and I plan on retiring from here. I have talked with our HR person and if I can get a prescription for it they will let me use it and continue to work. I feel that limiting this treatment only to people with epilepsy is wrong and is discriminating against me. I am willing to be a lab rat if necessary I would love to go back to my life before this happened to me. I have quit coaching fast pitch softball for a travel team out of Greenville, Bass fishing, and Bike riding. Gov. Nikki Haley has signed into law a bill allowing people in South Carolina with severe epilepsy to use CBD oil, which comes from the marijuana plant, as a treatment option. The oil must be prescribed by a doctor. CBD oil, also known as cannabis oil or cannabidiol, has almost none of the mind-altering substance in marijuana.
