I live in the city of Pickens. I just got some very disturbing news this morning that made me actually cry. My daughter told me that the school her children go to is about to close down. Also, two more schools in this area will be closing. That will only leave two in the area. What will happen to all these kids? My grand children's school goes in front of the board Monday the 25th. I know that it is short notice but please help us! ! We need this school. I know that you, Governor Haley, are very committed on our children getting a very positive education. There's no way that can happen if they are over crowded from being placed in smaller schools with smaller classes and from being overwhelmed because of having to move and maybe even being left behind because of the ratio of teachers per students. Again, I beg of you please help us to keep Hagood Elementary in Pickens open for our precious children and give them a fighting chance to get the best education possible.
