Point! ....take the number if bridges and roads which failed as a result of the flood. Note the small amount of money spent on maintaining these items in recent years..... We don't raise taxes, but salaries go up so there is less money to spend on repairs. Every time spending is increased taxes must increase to pay for it, or we take funds for other programs to pay for the. That is not how management works....without management there is no leadership.... But you do do a great job making us believe there is management in state government. Management means when you spend a dollar the taxpayer pays for it and should be so told... The bill should not be hidden by shifting funds nor borrowing money to pay such bills....!!! Finally, after recent inspection of all dams and brides in the country by the Corp of Engineers how could so many possibly fail??? RJ
