In a perfect world, parents would see the error of their ways and welcome the children back into a cleaner, safer and more loving home after the scare of losing them. We do not live in a perfect world! I do hope the new director of DSS will consider the child more than the parent or parents. There are too many good people wanting children to just send them back to mistreatment so the numbers look good. Is it fair to take a child out of a filthy, unhealthy atmosphere and put it in a clean, warm and loving home just to jerk it back to the same old life when the parent says they will be better? Not many live up to that.
