<WFUD_Request>I am writing you out of complete frustration. SC Dept. of Revenue sent money from my state return to the IRS to pay a federal debt I have been fighting via a tax attorney even though the IRS already took the money from my federal return. On top of paying the IRS twice, the SC Dept of Revenue charged me a fee for sending the IRS a check which they never should have sent. When I called the SCDR they told me that they cannot tell if the IRS has already been paid. Its utter nonsense. It is not my fault that the two agencies are daft and unable to communicate with one another. As the result, I am still waiting on a refund for the over payment and each agency is pointing fingers at the other as to who is responsible for the blunder. The IRS said I will need to get the service charge back from the SCDR. I am requesting that this issue be looked into an the service charge that SCDR be returned to me ASAP. I should not be stuck in the middle of two incompetent agencies. The SCDR told me that this happens all the time. It feels like a racket. How many people are charged these bogus service charges for mistakes made by state and federal agencies?

Please contact me at the information above regarding a resolution to this issue and a refund on the service charge. There needs to be some sort reform to make sure that SCDR is not sending hardworking taxpayers dollars to the IRS that they are not owed. Not only is this stealing money from people like myself but it is also a huge waste of time and money when state employees process these bad requests.

I am still waiting on my refund for the over payment from the IRS. Today they told me it'll be another 4-6 weeks before I get it back. ITS MY MONEY! I filed my taxes on 1/31, this is completely unacceptable.</WFUD_Request>
