I have a friend that is in total need. She has been without heat for quite a while.  The heat pump was stolen from her property a few years ago, and they have not been able to replace it.  They have been using gas and or kerosene heat. (which is very dangerous) 




At one time she owned her own business, but she had to close down due to a family medical situation.  Her husband became sickly. She had to stay home and take care of him, and homeschool her daughter. Her husband fought for disability for 3 1/2 years and never received a dime.  She paid her bills by selling at kids consignment sales, ebay, facebook pages, yard sales, etc.  

 

June 6, 2015 her husband passed away in his sleep.  They didn't have life insurance, so it has been rough on her.  Her and her daughter gets survivor benefits, which helps with raising the daughter and paying the bills and buy groceries, etc.  She does not qualify for food stamps.   But, it is not enough to get a heat pump so they can stay warm for the winter. She is scared of using the gas heat, she never had to turn it on herself.  (her husband did that part) And when they did use it, she had to hang blankets and they stayed in one room, to keep that room warm. Moving is not a option, there home is totally paid for.  She tried for a loan thru the local light company for assistant on a heat pump, but she was turned down.  




She lives in a nice 1999 mobile home.  I do know that she got 2 quotes, one from Air Unlimited Inc.
