I would like to talk to someone about the policy concerning drug felons not being able to get SNAP benefits. I have a drug felony dating back to 2000. It was a very minute amount of cocaine. Even the judge said it was so small that he set the smallest bond he had ever set in a drug case. I served the time, completed probation and successfully completed a drug treatment program. Tennessee has the same policy on drug felons as SC with one exception. They will give someone benefits if they completed a treatment program and the facility will provide documentation. I would like to talk to someone about this and see this policy in SC changed. I am a registered voter in Greenwood County. Please contact me by phone preferably. Thank you very much.
