Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport is reporting nearly 100,000 fewer passengers using its facility in the first four months of 2006.
The monthly traffic is averaging almost 25,000 fewer passengers.
GSP reported a decrease of 97,115 passengers this year. That's 16.87 percent less than last year's total of 575,724.
There were 25,489 fewer passengers in April, or 16.37 percent less, than last year's total of 155,736.
The impact is mostly felt by low-cost carrier Independence Air going out of business in January.
