Dear Governor Haley,

I heard on this morning's news that you intend to move ahead with your plan to bring in hundreds of immigrants to our state.  I am stunned!  Excuse my forthrightness in my comments but this MUST NOT take place!

Your first duty as governor is to protect the constituents of South Carolina.  Never mind that this country's president has chosen to ignore his primary responsibility, it should remain yours.  I need not have to remind you of the attacks in Paris and Brussels nor of the many violent crimes that have occurred in America and several European countries all at the hands of the type of people you wish to bring into the Palmetto state.

Governor, you've changed.  You went from a very popular leader who brought jobs into our state, kept our taxes low and generally maintained so much of what we consider important in our lives.  But since the Charleston shooting and the removal of the Confederate Battle Flag that played NO PART in that horrendous killing, you haven't been the same person we've looked up to.  

You've wanted to raise our gas tax supposedly for roads when we had more than enough money in our state's surplus to fund all of the needed road repairs.  You've sided with the Washington Republicans whom your people DO NOT trust and spoke out against Donald Trump who was, and still remains, the candidate of choice of our state's Republican voters.  And now of all times when the multitude of evidence glares like the sun, you still insist that potentially dangerous people be introduced into our society and their expenses paid for by US, the TAXPAYERS!  NO!  Not just no but HELL NO!

Governor Haley, it is not too late for you to do the right thing by the people of your state.  Washington is poison and foreign immigrants are even more dangerous.  Back away from where you are going and get back to where you know you should be.  We need the leadership you once provided.  Be that leader again!
