My brother is a junior at SC State University and is majoring in nuclear engineering. From my understanding, if you close SC State, then the state will pay for the students to attend other public colleges within the state. The problem for my brother is the nuclear engineering program is the only undergraduate nuclear engineering program in the state of South Carolina. Will the state pay for him to attend an out-of-state college with an undergraduate nuclear engineering program? It would be unfair to take this program away from him and other nuclear engineering students and not offer them an alternative to continue their nuclear engineering education. Thank you.
