I am sure that they are deserving of this amount, however, the timing is a little awkward, considering that your retired constituents, did not receive a COLA this year. In addition, the money could be better spent to bring our roads and bridges up to acceptable guidelines. The roads in the upstate that are SC funded are in very poor condition, exit 1, that is a scenic highway, is a wash board. I have written to you before about raising the gas tax, while I am not for more taxes, this is one that should be considered due to the recent fall of oil prices. Michelin comment on the road conditions, they are considering moving to exit 2 location. I am sorry for the responses from the press after your comments from the debate.
