To the Honorable Governor Nikki Haley,

My name is Alex Chalgren. I'm the S.C. Director for Students for Trump which is a national student led coalition on the high school and college level. We are NOT affiliated with the campaign in any capacity. I am contacting you because we would like to invite you and your family to our debate watch party next Thursday(Jan. 28th). The party will be held at the Carolina Ale House on Lady Street in Columbia. We are holding this party to help bring the community together while watching the 7th Presidential debate. We have invited numerous representatives and senators from around the state with the intention of making this a political learning experience for the community. I have even invited my cousin, Lt. Governor McMaster, to join us. We are excited to say that national broadcast stations such as CBS and NBC will be there filming as well as other broadcasting stations. This party is a nonpartisan party. Let me stress that we are NOT SEEKING ENDORSEMENT! We are a student led organization which wishes to encourage the voting process as well as the American democratic process. There will be plenty of police and security plus the Governor will have VIP passes and a VIP room. It would be an honor to have you there ma'am. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
