I have mailed a letter to you voicing my concerns regarding the Moped Bill. This bill does nothing
 toward any type of controls to restrict their operations on SC highways. 3 points of concern to me is the allowance of operation on high speed highways which is a hazard to the operator and a nuisance to motorists. Next, is the fact that a person will be issued a moped license regardless of the status of a driver's license. One that has lost driving privilege due to DUI or other serious offenses should not be able to circumvent this penalty on a moped. Driving on SC highways is a privilege not a right. Lastly, not requiring a moped to have at least liability insurance means the motoring public will have to pay for any damages to their property caused by a moped. It seems once again that we dare not say no or put restrictions or inconveniences on anyone as we may offend them or somehow violate their rights. I believe this is the root of many of todays problems. All discipline from childhood through adulthood has been put aside. Just give everyone what they want and never say no as this is the easy way out. Please, please veto this bill and send it back for more reasonable restrictions. Thank you
