Hammond Makes it Easier to Give to Tsunami Victims
(Columbia) - Secretary of State Mark Hammond is making it easier for donors to research organizations who claim to be raising money for victims of the tsunami in Southeast Asia.

Hammond says potential donors who wish to verify the validity of an organization soliciting aid can go to teh Secretary of State's web site at the link to the right.

The link on the Secretary of State's homepage will direct you to other helpful charitable giving web sites which he says are beneficial in helping determine which organizations can make the most of your dollar.

"South Carolinians are among the most generous people in the world. This link has been incorporated to help donors choose their charities wisely." says Hammond. "Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the victims and families of this catastrophe."
