(Columbia-AP) April 12, 2004 -- An Upstate man is taking issue with the state GOP sending pins made in China to the party faithful. House candidate Robley T Moore wrote state Republican Party Chairman Katon Dawson about the pins given out so members could show pride in the party.

In the letter, Moore says the pin was made in Communist China. Moore says he has been a Republican for 20 years, but this year is running as a Libertarian for the Abbeville-Anderson County seat that Due West Representative Harry Stille is giving up.

Dawson says the party bought the pins through an American company, but the company got their products from China. Dawson says Moore is simply unhappy with the GOP.
