I am writing to ask that you do everything in your power as governor of South Carolina
to stop the UN sponsored resettlement of middle eastern refugees into South Carolina.
Given the turmoil in Syria and elsewhere in the middle east, there is no way the Federal              government can properly vet these people. Given the large number of young men fleeing, there                            is a significant chance of terrorists coming in. It is also obvious that these refugees will             be immediately in need of government assistance. Does South Carolina have the resources to            provide this? There is no evidence that refugees assimilate, they set up enclaves and
maintain their culture and values. I hope you will take these things into consideration as
you decide how to deal with this issue. The safety and general welfare of the citizens of
South Carolina should be of utmost importance.
