Hey, my son graduated from the Citadel 2012.  During this time my husband lost 25,000.00 in pay due to the economy and trying to keep the company open.  We have struggled since that time to continue to pay the loan payments and many times we have asked for forbearance for a couple of months.  We still owe $55,000.  and are just not getting anywhere.  I have 2 more children in Highschool who will be attending college, but only if we can afford it at this rate, my son Oliver's dreams of going to Clemson along with his brother's dream of playing baseball at Clemson are just that DREAMS.  My husband just lost his job on Friday with Apex Tools in Lexington.  They have decided to clean house and my husband was caught in the middle of it.  My husband graduation from Purdue and went on to Clemson for his masters and is trying desperately to find a job as of now we have no insurance.  I just started Real Estate and have no money coming in.  We are at wits end.  The Forgiveness program is a joke.  I called and they want $199 and it will only be forgiven after 25 years of payment.  Well we would be no better off.  Please Please Please can someone please help us out of this hole.  We are good people with good work ethics and paying our bills.  Please tell me something positive because this last week msuch less last 5 years has been tough economically on our family.  Sincerely, Kathy McClelland
