Please do what you can to remove the Confederate flag from the Capitol, Governor's residence and all public buildings in South Carolina. This is not appropriate any more; the latest carnage indicates that the flying of the Confederate flag is keeping people in mind of the racist feelings of the past and that is not how most Americans feel at this point in time. Fine in a museum, but not on a state flagpole. You are doing a disservice to your state and the nation by displaying this divisive piece of fabric. Take it down immediately and let others know that you do not subscribe to the everlasting reverence to an idea which was perpetuated by the few for the benefit of even fewer and a fantasy southern ideal that so many espouse.
