I would like to know why the state will not waive the out of state tuition fee for my son to attend a college in South Carolina for us. We live in Tabor City North Carolina which borders South Carolina. Coastal Carolina University would be the best choice for our son that would allow him to obtain his first four years of college and still live at home. There are no universities close to us that would allow him the opportunity to stay home for his first four years except for Coastal. My husband works for Horry Telephone in Conway SC and I am a school nurse at Loris Middle School for Horry County Schools. Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Jamie Nealey
