My name is James Nicholas Yannaco Jr. I sent this important message to the addresses listed below a few weeks after this horrific incomprehensible tragedy occurred in Charleston S.C. Unfortunately there was no feedback. I'm hoping this time someone responds. This selfless act that has most of us asking ourselves." how could someone pray with their Brothers & Sisters inside Gods house and then steal their lives from us?" At times your emotions get the best of you which makes it nearly impossible to forgive. Yet with grace and beauty some of us find a way. Thanks to the Lord. Upon listening to numerous radio stations and commentary particularly about the confederate symbol incorporated within Mississippi's flag, I thought to myself..how could Mississippi show its solidarity to not only the 9 Angels which consume our hearts & minds but to the good people of Mississippi? As I was thinking about Depayne Middletown, Cynthia Hurd, Susie Jackson, Ethel Lance, Sen. Clementa C. Pickney, Tywanza Sanders, Rev.Dr Daniel Simmons Sr. , Sharonda Singleton and her son Chris Singleton as well as the families and friends that are suffering for their loss, I had an epiphany which instantly consumed my thoughts. What if Mississippi redesigned their Flag and replaced the symbol of separatism with a blue background and 9 shinning stars in the shape of a diamond. After all, the diamond is a representation of life. These stars will shine bright in the hearts of true Americans and remind us that we're all equal and should be respected as such. Each star would represent these 9 Blessed Souls. As we view the flag, we will remember what they stood for. What they believed was to love one another as they loved us. Furthermore, this new symbol will prove to the world that Mississippians stand side by side in memory of those who lost their lives to racism. Our full attention they deserve. I immediately contacted my son James Nicholas Yannaco III and asked him what he thought of this blessed feeling and the idea of drafting a flag of this magnitude. James' heart is as big as mine and I knew he'd offer his honest opinion. You see, my son is an aspiring artist. He's a superstar in my eyes and there's no one better suited for this task then he. What a grand idea for a loving Father and Son to team up and deliver such a blessed message of Hope & Faith. Unfortunately he didn't have the means to send the picture of our plan in such short notice. So I did my best to express our thoughts. The attached is an idea that could help to change the face of racism in this country. I know it can't happen overnight but if we continue down the path of righteousness, good things will follow. I look forward to your reply. Thank you for your time and may God Bless our country.
