(Pickens-AP) Feb. 20, 2004 - A manufacturer of fire sprinklers plans to bring 300 jobs to Pickens County when it opens a new plant in the county's new industrial park.
The Reliable Automatic Sprinkler Company says it will relocate manufacturing, product development and part of its distribution operations from Westchester County, New York, to the Pickens County Commerce Park.
Company President Frank Fee says about 50 people will transfer to the new plant from New York. Reliable says it will build a 300,000-square-foot building on 56 acres in the industrial park.
Productions is expected to start late next year or early 2006.
