I am writing this letter to voice my concern regarding proposed SC bill 997 that would require the refugees to participate in online registry. To my understanding it will make the personal information of the refugees open to the public. I understand it's the safety of the people that is the major concern but I also feel like these refugees who have to leave their homes to find a place on this planet earth would not even be safe here especially at this time when people are at high alert and Islamophobia is not uncommon. 
Being a mom,a proud American with a prospective medical career of my own ,I felt my responsibility to write this letter to you. I have high hope that you being my governor will consider this fear of mine.
