Antique Tractor Show and Bluegrass Festival to aid liver transplant patient

BLACKSTOCK, SC---The 1st Annual Antique Engine and Tractor Show and Bluegrass Festival, a day long benefit for Lane Colson of Walterboro, SC, will be held from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2002, at the Blackstock Gymnasium, School Road, in Blackstock.

The daylong event is a benefit for Lane Colson of Walterboro, SC, the niece of Frank and Beth Traylor of Blackstock. Lane is in need of a liver transplant, and proceeds from the show will help defray her medical expenses.

In addition to the antique engine and tractor show, prizes will be awarded for the cleanest restored working antique tractor, the ugliest working antique tractor, and for the smallest and the largest working hit and miss motors.

Bluegrass musical groups scheduled to perform include: Huckabee’s Mill, Easy Pickin’s, South by South, Bent Grass, Southern Tradition, Bluegrass Blades, Pinetuckett, and Chappell Road.

Admission is $5 per person. Children 10 & under are free with an adult. Blackstock Gymnasium is located on School Road approximately 8 miles south of Chester, 15 miles north of Winnsboro off Hwy. 321.
