My son and his daughters moved to South Carolina almost 2 years ago, I am disabled and have not been able to see my two beautiful granddaughters in over a year.  On June 19th, 2015 my son drove Brianna age 5 and Faith age 3 to Florida to visit me.  With the help of my spouse and daughter the girls are staying with us for about a month.  On June 23 Faith came down with a high fever and I took her to the doctor she used to see when she lived here.  I was informed that I would have to pay for the visit which I did.  When I called S.C.Healthy Connections I was told she was not covered because she was not in South Carolina.  On July 1st my other granddaughter came down with a fever and coughing uncontrollable.  I took her to the hospital
ER where it turns out she has an URI and UTI.  The doctor wrote 3 scripts for her and I had them filled costing me $125.51.
I called SC Healthy Connections RX and was informed I will not be reimbursed for the medicine.
I can't undersand if my granddaughters have medical coverage why I should have to pay for doctors and scripts, I don't have the money but I could not let a child be sick so I paid. Please help me.
