I am contacting you in hopes of requesting a letter of consideration for my daughter Catheryn Nates. Catheryn has applied and received early acceptance into Winthrop University. She has decided to become a special education teacher. As a SCDJJ employee I do not have a significant amount of money to contribute to her education, nor does her father, who is a truck driver. Catheryn is a hard working student and has received a few grants and scholarships, however, we still need additional financial aid. I was hoping you might be able to write a recommendation letter for consideration. I already have one from Ms. Margaret Barber and Director Sylvia Murray. I know you are extremely busy but I was hoping you might find the time to consider my request. Catheryn has participated in the White Knoll High School Teacher Cadet Program, which provided her with an English College Credit. Catheryn is a bright and hard working student who I believe will make an excellent teacher. Thank you for your consideration, Tamatha Nates
